Where to start... Well, I grew up listening to music. I didn't start to realize MY type of music till about age 13 when I discovered MTV; back when it actually played music videos. Before that, I listened to what my parents listened to... Beatles, Eagles, ect. What's funny is, I was still just stuck with what the radio and MTV were playing.
I hadn't started to listen to metal till I was about 15 when my brother introduced me to Pantera. At about the same time, I ended up getting Slayer on my "15 CD's for $5" Columbia House mailer.
In my senior year I joined a garage band... well... more like a trailer band. Our studio was a 15 ft. tow trailer, with bathroom and closet included in the backyard of the drummer's house. Everybody used practice amps and piled in including the drums. I'd stand outside and scream into an old barely audible mic. We were called "Pork and Beans," had 3 original songs, and 5 covers. Originals included "It from the pit" and "Cow Pie High." Covers include "Teen Spirit," "Blitzkrieg bop," and "More human than Human." I Left the band shortly after high school to experience life doing the daily grind.
In 2000 my former band's "lost" Vocalist, Will, asked if I wanted to join him and his band. I accepted. It was at this point I met Pat and Brandon and here we are. I didn't really start listening to more brutal stuff till only recently with the members of AOA. My evolution into metal was very slow and tedious. I’m still discovering... always discovering.
